From Our Chairperson
Heather Ouimette
“The need and purpose to serve Are deeply rooted in my beliefs for a better community.”
As we embark on a New Year, I would like to express how extremely honored and delighted I am to serve as the 2021 Chair for the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce.
This is an important year for the Chamber as we refocus and rebuild to meet the needs of our business community. The pandemic generated new challenges and obstacles in 2020, and maintains a grasp on our country and community. Despite these unchartered challenges and obstacles, the Chamber is committed to the recovery.
By working diligently through our Chamber committees, partnering with community leaders, organizations, volunteers and businesses we will achieve success together. We will strengthen our community by continuing to work together and support one another.
When we support our local businesses, we support the heart of our community. Without small businesses and entrepreneurs, we lose our individuality as a community. During these most trying times it is essential to support local businesses as they are the fabric that tie our community
together.
Our inspiring business community has proven its strength and resilience in the face of crisis. The Chamber deeply values our partnerships and will continue to work with our academic leaders, local government, non-profits and the private sector to ensure that each entity has the best opportunity to succeed in our area.
I am beyond grateful to be surrounded by an experienced and talented board of directors, ambassadors, Chamber staff and community leaders whom all share a vision of growth and economic development for our community during this ever-changing environment.
The need and purpose to serve are deeply rooted in my beliefs for a better community. Through togetherness, determination, and service we will make 2021 an outstanding year!
