New Tales & Trails book ready to read at Dry Hill Prosperity Park

Thank you Raleigh County Parks and Recreation and National Coal Heritage Area for inviting us to be a part of your announce ceremony for the next Tales & Trails book at Dry Hill Prosperity Park.

This Tales & Trails is such a wonderful learning activity for the entire family to enjoy and we are thankful that these organizations have partnered together to offer it at an beautiful park here in our community.  The trail is free and open to the public and is available for families to come, learn and enjoy the outdoors and stories along the trail.

Raleigh County Parks and Recreation and National Coal Heritage

Area announce Tales & Trails at Dry Hill Prosperity Park. The current book available on the Tales & Trails is “When I Was Young in the Mountains” written by Cyntha Rylant and illustrated by Diana Goode, and was awarded the Caldecott Honor Metal.

Raleigh County Parks and Recreations have partnered with National Coal Heritage Area who was awarded a Beckley Area Foundation Grant for this project.  This new tale is located at the paved walking trail at Dry Hill Prosperity Parks located at 1829 Maxwell Hill Rd, Beckley, WV 25801.
