Districts and Neighborhoods


Shady Spring – Located approximately 10 miles south of Beckley. Shady Springs offers a variety of small subdivisions, farms, and vacant lots of land available for building.

Glade Springs – Private, gated community with 3 golf courses, a pool, a trout stream, and many other amenities. Prices start in the 200’s.

Flat Top Lake – Private lake front properties with easy access to I-77. Prices start in the 200’s.

Cool Ridge, Flat Top – Located approximately 20 minutes south on Route 19. This area has a wide range of moderate starter homes to new custom built homes on large plots of land and small farms.

Grandview – Easy access to I-64 and New River Gorge National Park- featuring houses with larger sites, small farms, and several small subdivisions, including The Oaks, Cherry Hills, and Beechwood.


Crab Orchard, Sophia, Coal City – Located south west of Beckley. These neighborhoods feature moderately priced homes, with easy access to Beckley and I-77 via Route 16.

Old Eccles Road – Several small subdivisions in this area consisting mostly of split entry level homes. Includes Old Mill Village, Ridge Park, Oak. Most subdivisions are in the area south west of Beckley off Route 16.

Clear Fork – Located across Spruce Mountain by Route 1, a rural area with homes along creeks and some mountain sides with a few small farms and timberland.


Beckley City Limits – Within the city of Beckley there are several moderate priced and starter priced neighborhoods within easy access to all amenities. There are also older
historic homes available.

Prosperity, Bradley, Maple Fork – Located north of Beckley on Route 19 with moderate priced housing with some smaller subdivisions.

Maxwell Hill, Dry Hill – Mostly ranch style homes built in the 1960’s and 1970’s with some more recent contemporary homes and upscale subdivisions.

Woodcrest -Modern subdivision with a wide range of home styles and prices with ages ranging from 5 to 40 years. Located off Route 41.

Woodlands Village – New subdivision consisting of modern contemporary homes,
located adjacent to the YMCA soccer fields and easy access to I-64. There are also available lots for new construction.


Trap Hill – Located along Route 3 west of Beckley includes Lake Stephens and several unincorporated areas with moderate priced homes, some new development, small farms, and timber lands.

Marsh Fork – Rural area consisting of beautiful neighborhood, small farms, and timberlands. The Coal River runs through the Marsh Fork area.
