BRANDING THE REGION
Recently, the 4-C Economic Development Authority completed a project for development of a Tourism Destination Plan. One goal of the Tourism Destination Plan initiative was to determine the brand name of the region – a brand to be used for marketing all economic sectors. A regional steering committee selected the “New River Gorge Region” as the name and brand for the area spanning Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh and Summers Counties. Although the name was selected as part of a tourism initiative, we hope it will be embraced by everyone and used in all marketing initiatives for the region. Logos for use are available in the Data Center at www.4ceda.org Please feel free to use the logos on your web site and marketing materials. Logo Stickers are also available to be used on windows or vehicles. With promotion by all sectors of our community, we believe the New River Gorge Region will become a very strong and instantly recognizable name and its use will eventually extend your marketing dollars. For more info on this project contact 4 County Economic Development Authority at 304-254-8115.
