Appalachian Festival Committee Program
The Appalachian Festival Inc. Committee is a corporation formed by BRCCC for the purpose of expanding the existing Appalachian Arts & Crafts Fair to a community-wide event to attract more visitors to the area for extended-stays.
The Appalachian Festival is currently in its 12th year and showcase several other events simultaneously in other key locations within Raleigh County. This group promotion allows these different Festival hosts to take advantage of a collective advertising campaign which will draw visitors to Beckley-Raleigh County for multiple day, multiple location visits.
The festival committee, consisting of one representative from each host and other BRCCC member representatives, acts as the administrator of the event, handles scheduling of events and basically acts as a liaison between the nine host organizations.
The following organizations are involved in hosting festival events
1 45th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair - Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce
2 Tamarack "The Best of West Virginia"
3 Taste of Appalachia-Beckley Renaissance
4 Crossroads Mall-Appalachian Car Show
5 Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine Tours & Exhibits
6 Youth Museum of Southern WV & Mountain Homestead
7 Theatre West Virginia Outdoor Dramas
